Bank of Lithuania to issue silver coin dedicated to Ukraine’s fight for freedom

VILNIUS – The Bank of Lithuania will this year issue a new silver collector coin dedicated to Ukraine’s fight for freedom.

The coin should be issued in the third or the fourth quarter, the central bank said in a press release on Wednesday.

Having considered the geopolitical situation, the Board of the Bank of Lithuania earlier on Wednesday adopted amendments to the central bank’s plan for the issue of collector euro coins, commemorative euro coins with the Lithuanian national side, and circulation euro coin numismatic sets for 2022.
