AKROPOLE Shopping Centres spread the festive spirit and invite everyone to events; opening hours to be changed on the holidays

  • 2024-12-10

AKROPOLE Alfa and AKROPOLE Rīga shopping centres will delight their visitors with an extensive Christmas programme as the most warm-hearted festivities of the year approach. Everyone is invited to visit the festive gift and treat markets, as well as a variety of exciting activities, including a chance for the little ones to meet and talk to Santa Claus, a free gift wrapping station and textile printing workshop, as well as a variety of masterclasses for both young and old. The management of AKROPOLE Shopping Centres would like to point out that there will be changes in the opening hours during the holidays and that the shopping centres will be partially closed on 1 January.

Get ready for Christmas early – a festive programme for young and old

Both shopping centres will be hosting a festive treats and gifts market until 30 December, offering classic gifts such as knitted items, ceramic dishes, wooden decorations, honey and gingerbread, as well as more unusual items to surprise your loved ones with, such as amber candles and living ecosystems in glass enclosures. The AKROPOLE Alfa holiday treats and gifts market is located on the 2nd floor corridor between the Crocs and Cropp stores, while the AKROPOLE Rīga market can be found in the event area between entrances A and F by the Christmas tree and in the corridor between entrances B and C. And don’t forget to buy a Christmas tree – the Christmas tree sale in AKROPOLE Alfa will take place outside by entrance B, and in AKROPOLE Rīga outside by entrance E.

From 12 to 24 December, visitors of AKROPOLE Shopping Centres will be able to wrap festive gifts purchased at AKROPOLE Alfa and AKROPOLE Rīga free of charge. During this period, visitors will also be able to make a special gift for a loved one by visiting a textile printing workshop. These activities will take place on the 2nd floor of AKROPOLE Alfa near the Denim Dream store, as well as in the hallway between entrances B and C of AKROPOLE Rīga. On weekends, starting from Saturday, 14 December, visitors will have a number of activities to prepare for the festive season with family and friends – there will be a Christmas tree decoration workshop, and everyone will have the opportunity to try their hand at making snowballs, get creative in the gingerbread decorating masterclass, and prepare a greeting card at the Christmas card workshop.

Younger visitors are invited to make their wishes early, as they will be able to meet Santa Claus at the Christmas tree in the AKROPOLE Shopping Centres from 13 to 15 December and from 20 to 24 December. AKROPOLE Rīga will also have a special telephone booth from which you can call Santa Claus. The booth will be open to visitors from 9 December to 12 December and from 16 December to 19 December.

But on Sunday, 15 December, the legendary Coca-Cola Christmas truck will make a stop at the car park of AKROPOLE Rīga by entrance B and the outdoor Christmas tree from 16.00 to 20.00.

A detailed programme of festive events can be found on the social networks and websites of AKROPOLE Alfa and AKROPOLE Rīga.
