About 70 people stage picket in Riga in support of court employees’ interests

Around 70 people staged a picket in front of the Cabinet of Ministers building in Riga on Aug. 9 to show their support for the rights and interests of Latvia’s court employees. Some of the demonstrators held placards with messages like “Stop Promises! It’s Time for Work” and “Fair Wages for Court Employees.” Latvian Justice Minister Dzintars Rasnacs (National Alliance) came out of the government house to talk to the demonstrators.
