The pandemic has had a major impact on Ārpus Brewing Co., an independent microbrewery, founded in 2017 by craft beer geeks from Riga, Latvia. “We were lucky to receive our canning line from UK right at the time when COVID-19 hit Europe, otherwise we would have been stuck with lot of beer in kegs, as HoReCa segment basically disappeared for a few months, and only option was to sell cans (or bottles) in shops,” Andris Rasiņs (Andris Rasinš), director of the brewery, told The Baltic Times.
