RIGA – The 12th Saeima lawmakers for their last months in service and in severance compensations have received in total EUR 667,682 after taxes.
This sum includes wage for work in October and early November because the new parliament took office on November 6, and compensations to those lawmakers who were not re-elected.
The biggest sums were paid to Augusts Brigmanis (Greens/Farmers ) – EUR 12,293, Gaidis Berzins (National Alliance) – EUR 11,991, Andris Berzins (Greens/Farmers) – EUR 11,896, Gunars Kutris (Greens/Farmers) – EUR 11,896.
Severance payments were made to 66 lawmakers who were not re-elected to the new parliament. These lawmakers are entitled to a compensation at the amount of three wages, according to the Latvian legislation
