Over 12-year-olds required to have COVID health pass in Lithuania

VILNIUS – Children aged over 12 years and two months are required to have a COVID health pass to enter large shops and entertainment venues starting from Tuesday.   

Until recently, the requirement applied to children above the age of 16 years. 

No COVID-19 immunity certificate is required for schools and educational activities. 

Other changes to the rules for the national COVID-19 immunity certificate, dubbed an "opportunity passport", include the requirement for adults to get a booster vaccine shot seven months after their full vaccination to be eligible for the pass. 

The Health Ministry notes that there is no expiry date for certificates issued to fully-vaccinated minors 

As before, the pass will be valid for seven months for people who have recovered from COVID-19 and for two months after a positive antibody test. 

The requirement to renew one's national COVID-19 certificate every two months remains in place.
