Ukrainian president to visit Estonia

TALLINN - Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko is about to visit Estonia next week.

Poroshenko will visit Estonia on Monday, Jan. 23. He is scheduled to meet here with President Kersti Kaljulaid, Prime Minister Juri Ratas and speaker of the Riigikogu Eiki Nestor, spokespeople for the Estonian Foreign Ministry said.

The Ukrainian president will make an official visit to Finland on Tuesday, Jan. 24.

Poroshenko and Finnish President Sauli Niinisto are to speak about relations between Finland and Ukraine, the Ukraine conflict and the implementation of the Minsk Agreement. In addition, they will exchange views on the relations between the EU and Ukraine, as well as topical international issues such as the safety of the Baltic Sea region and matters related to the Arctic region, a press release published on the website of the president of Finland says.

Poroshenko will also meet with a speaker of the Finnish parliament Maria Lohela and Prime Minister Juha Sipila.
