Riga airport board member Andris Liepins and board member Ilmars Upenieks have been suspended from their positions, the airport's supervisory board chairman Juris Kanels confirmed.
"The supervisory board decided to suspend to members of the management board. Liepins and Upenieks," he said.
The decision has to be approved by a shareholders meeting, Kanels said.
The Latvian public television reported on Thursday that an internal audit had been conducted at the airport, revealing mismanagement of funds.
