Probes against Lithuanian individuals and companies opened by Lithuania’s tax authorities

Lithuania’s tax authority has opened two probes in connection with Lithuanian citizens and companies named in the Panama Papers; a massive leak of documents from the Panama-based law firm Mossack Fonseca. The Risk Analysis Center, a joint center of the Lithuanian State Tax Inspectorate (STI) and the Financial Crime Investigation Service (FCIS), is currently deciding on whether to initiate further investigation.
