Rolandas Paksas was born on June 10, 1956 in Lithuanian SSR.
1979 - graduated from Vilnius Gediminas Technical Institute, Civil Engineering;
1984 - graduated from Leningrad Civil Aviation Academy;
before 1989 - member of the Communist Party;
1989-1995 - Democratic Labour Party;
1995-2000 - member of Homeland Union Party;
1997 - Mayor of Vilnius, Lithuania's capital;
1999 - appointed Prime Minister, left the post in five months;
2000-2002 - member of Liberal Union of Lithuania Party;
2000 - appointed Prime Minister;
2002 - founder and leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, ran for the presidency;
2003 - President of Lithuania;
2004 - removal from the office and impeachment;
2009 - member of European Parliament as a leader of Order and Justice party.
