TALLINN - Widespread damage from the Center Party vote was nipped in the bud on Aug. 12, when the Cabinet of Ministers added their signature to a joint statement by President Arnold Ruutel, speaker of Parliament Ene Ergma and Prime Minister Juhan Parts that calls on all citizens to back Estonia's accession to the European Union.
