Latvia, Norway to agree on tire removal

RIGA (BNS) - Norway and Latvia are likely to come to a financial agreement about the removal of 100 train cars of used tires that have been sitting in Latvia nearly a year.The tires were en route from Norway to Russia last fall, but Russian customs officials refused to let them cross, so the tires were left in Latvia.The incident created concern among green activists because the tires have a high content of oil.
