Sprucing up lady liberty Milda

RIGA - A booth to collect donations for the restoration of the Freedom Monument, a.k.a. lady Milda, was opened at the monument on Friday Aug. 13. The eerie date did not scare the event's organizers, the Freedom Monument Restoration Fund.The booth had a profitable beginning. As soon as the symbolic red ribbon was cut, donations started coming in.
