New appointments in the Baltics

Jorgen Machalett is the new president of one of Latvia's oldest commercial banks, the revamped Pirma Banka. Before taking over at Pirma Banka, Machalett, 42, worked for the German banks Bankgesellschaft Berlin AG and Berliner Bank in various positions. Machalett is fluent in German, French and English. His hobbies include tennis, jogging, traveling and reading.
