TALLINN - The legendary rock musician, actor, multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and arranger, 4-“Grammy”-award winner Lenny Kravitz, whose ‘retro’ style incorporates elements of rock, soul, R&B, funk, reggae, hard rock, psychedelic, folk and ballads will perform in Tallinn on Oct. 28 as a part of his latest, his 10th, studio album “Strut” tour.

As always, Kravitz plays guitar, bass, keyboards and drums and percussion on the album, and produced and arranged it as well. To provide the final defining touch on Strut, however, Kravitz called on the legendary Bob Clearmountain to mix the album (he worked on David Bowie’s Let’s Dance, the Rolling Stones’ Tattoo You and Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the USA).

Leonard Albert “Lenny” Kravitz (born May 26, 1964) is an American all-around performer. In addition to singing lead and backing vocals, he often plays all the guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and percussion himself when recording. He is known for his elaborate stage performances and music videos.

Kravitz always knew how to combine classic rock and funk with hard rock values, soul, reggae, folk musical styles. He tries to follow the motto: “If you want to achieve a perfect result, do everything on your own!,” that’s why all instruments, [not to mention the singing] from guitars to drums, piano to saxophone, he plays, sings and records alone. This perfectionism is also reflected in his polished stage shows and music videos.”

As a result, his creation is one of the few that is appreciated by both critics and colleagues, measured in millions of fans.
Regarded as one of the preeminent rock musicians of our time, Kravitz has transcended genre, style, race and class into a 20-year musical career, one which revels in the rich influences of 60s and 70s soul, rock and funk. Kravitz’s talents as a writer, producer and multi-instrumentalist have resonated into a timeless catalog of albums. He has won four consecutive Grammy Awards, setting a record for the most wins in the “Best Male Rock Vocal Performance” category. His most recent albums include the 20th anniversary deluxe edition of his debut, “Let Love Rule, ” and his 2011 critically acclaimed studio release of “Black and White America.”

Having sold over 38 million albums worldwide, Kravitz’s musical success has afforded him many opportunities to fulfill his creative vision beyond the recording industry. The artist appeared in the critically-acclaimed film Precious, the box office smash films The Hunger Games and Catching Fire, as well as Lee Daniels’ The Butler, alongside Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey and Cuba Gooding Jr. In addition to his music and film work, in 2003 Kravitz launched a creative firm, Kravitz Design Inc., which provides commercial and residential design services, product development and branding.

Kravitz’s highly anticipated tenth studio album Strut will be released on Sept. 23 via Roxie Records/ Kobalt Label Services. The album is a real rock & roll record that hits hard rhythmically and explores desire in all its forms, from the most physical to the most idealized. The release’s twelve songs (see full track listing below) includes such titles as “New York City,” “I Never Want to Let You Down” and “She’s a Beast.” These songs wear their heart on their sleeve, and that’s the way Kravitz intended it.

“This record brought me back to a place of what I love so much about music,” the musical genius says, “back to the feelings I had when I was in high school. It’s a real rock & roll record – it’s raw, it’s got soul and it came together really quickly.”
