Estonia has recorded one of its hottest summers yet after temperatures rose to 33.5 degrees in one area.

The record was measured before 4 pm in Lääne-Nigula observation point. But despite the heat, Estonia is still far from breaking its overall heat record, Public Broadcasting reports.

The country's highest temperature was 35.6 degrees, recorded in 1992 in Võru, South East Estonia.

The weather service data shows that there will be no significant change in the weather in the next few days. The highest temperature readings will rise to 27-32 degrees.
