Expect tougher Grybauskaite in second term

VILNIUS - Lithuanians went to the polls and overwhelmingly returned incumbent President Dalia Grybauskaite to another five years in office in a second round vote. Based on the official data of the VRK, Grybauskaite received 701,999 votes or 57.90 percent of valid ballots. Social democratic candidate Zigmantas Balcytis received 486,214 votes which accounts for 40.1 percent.She will be granted the presidential certificate on June 5 in the Parliament, with the swearing in ceremony scheduled for July 12.One of the first to extend congratulations to Grybauskaite was Parliament Speaker...
