Latvian Constitution to affirm Christian values
Amendments to the Latvian Constitution will emphasize Christian values that have formed an identity in the cultural realm of Europe, chairman of the Saeima, Solvita Aboltina, said on April 22 in a meeting with the new diplomatic representative of Vatican - Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See, Archbishop Pedro Lopez Quintana, reported LETA.
Aboltina told Quintana that the Latvian parliament has supported the amendments to the Constitution, or the Constitutional Preamble, in the first reading. ...
