On Tuesday, March 25, Minister of Energy of Lithuania Jaroslav Neverovich will be in Washington, DC, where he will attend the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources hearings, where the question of liberalization of liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports from the U.S.will be discussed, reports ELTA.

Minister Neverovich will present the Lithuanian case for the need to reinforce energy security in Europe, and to underline the importance of taking necessary means to strengthen transatlantic trade in the energy sector, particularly of LNG.

"I will appeal to the fact that seeking to use all the potential of this investment and, in general, the market that is opening up, the liberalization of LNG exports must take place in the U.S.," said Neverovich ahead of the visit.
