Majority of Latvians to celebrate Valentine’s Day

A total of 64 percent of Latvian residents intend to celebrate Valentine's Day this year, according to a survey conducted by retail company Elvi.

Around 25 percent have not decided whether to celebrate Valentine's Day or not. Only 11 percent do not plan to celebrate Valentine's Day.

62 percent intend to spend up to 15 euros on Valentine's Day gifts, 8 percent - up to 70 euros. Residents want their gifts to be lovely, romantic and breathtaking.

The survey was carried out from February 5 to 12. Altogether, 323 residents were interviewed.
