Latvia loses out to Czech Republic in Olympic ice hockey

The Latvian national men's ice hockey team lost to the Czech Republic 2-4 in its second preliminary round match at the Sochi Winter Olympics on Jan. 14.

Janis Spukts and Herberts Vasiljevs were on the scoresheet for Latvia, Martin Erat, Jaromir Jagr, Jakub Voracek and Marek Zidlicky - for the Czech Republic.

This was the second loss for Latvia at the Sochi Olympics. In the first preliminary round match, Latvia lost to Switzerland 0-1. Latvia is set to play against Sweden tomorrow.

The roster of the Latvian Olympic ice hockey team is as follows:
