Latvia GDP grows over three percent

Latvia's gross domestic product increased 3.5 percent in the fourth quarter of 2013 as compared to the fourth quarter of 2012, according to the Central Statistical Bureau's flash estimate.

The GDP growth was affected by the value increase in retail trade - 3.9 percent, manufacturing - 2.6 percent, and services - 6.7 percent.

According to seasonally adjusted data, GDP increased 0.7 percent in the fourth quarter of 2013 year-on-year.

The Central Statistical Bureau will release the full report on the GDP growth pace and value in the fourth quarter last year on March 11, 2014.
