Lithuania's Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas linkevicius congratulated Lithuanian laureate of the New York Youth Video Festival PLURAL+ Marija Inesa Luneckaite, reports ELTA. On Dec. 5, Luneckaite was awarded the prize of the fund PLURAL+ Humanity without Borders for her work All Equal.

While congratulating the winner, Linkevicius highlighted the role of the youth in the creation of a tolerant, respectful and understanding society.

"I am happy and proud that the young and creative people from Lithuania reach high results in the international competition,” said Linkevicius.

PLURAL + is a youth-produced video festival which encourages young people to explore migration, diversity and social inclusion, and to share their creative vision with the world. It is a joint initiative between the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations and the International Organization for Migration, with a network of over 50 partner organizations, who support the creative efforts of young people and distribute their videos worldwide.

Since 2009 over 700 entries from 90 countries have participated. Winning videos have been screened in dozens of festivals, cinemas and broadcast on television networks throughout the world.
