TALLINN - Riigikogu approved on Nov. 21 a law that increases the strength of the European Parliament’s directive against sexual abuse of minors, toughening punishment for crimes of this nature, Riigikogu press service reports.While so far there has been no minimum punishment level set for sexual crimes against minors, with the maximum punishment five years of imprisonment, in the future the punishment will be 2-8 years of prison.
