One of histories most powerful storms has been shown from Space.

Typhoon Haiyan struck the Philippines on Friday, Nov.8 causing up to 10,000 deaths and  affecting a further 11 million people.

Aid agencies have launched urgent appeals to help raise funds towards relief efforts.
