Grain harvest hits record
RIGA - In 2012, for the first time in Latvia’s history, the grain harvest reached 2.1 million tons, a 50.5 percent increase on 2011, according to the Central Statistical Bureau data, reports Nozare.lv. The cereal yield rose to 37 quintals per hectare.
