Heating debts show major increase at the beginning of 2013

RIGA - The year 2013 is already marked by the major increase in money residents of Latvia owe heating utilities, as disclosed today at Finance Minister Andris Vilks' (Unity) meeting with representatives of local governments, reports LETA.

If in January 2012, the total debt figure was 31.7 millionlats 45.1 million euros), then this January it was 39.6 millionlats. 23 million lats of the amount are city dwellers in debt, 16.42 million lats are in regions.

This matter was a key topic of discussion today at the meeting.
