Lithuania again taps bond market

VILNIUS - Lithuania sold 600 million litas’ worth (174 million euros) of bonds in a private placement, increasing the Baltic nation’s proceeds from debt sales at home and abroad during the last week of January to about 600 million euros, reports Bloomberg.
The government placed the litas-denominated bonds in the final week of January, Vytautas Lenkutis, a spokesman at the Finance Ministry in Vilnius, said on Jan. 29 by phone, declining to give more details.
