Staff of Narva Power Plants prepares for strike

TALLINN - Employees of Narva Elektrijaamad (Narva Power Plants) have launched preparations for a strike, Narva Energia trade union chairman Vladimir Aleksejev announced, as reported by the Public Broadcasting.

Vladimir Aleksejev said that the negotiations over concluding a collective labour agreement that have lasted since October have gotten stalled. A protocol of differences of opinion would be signed on Wednesday and the State Conciliator will be contacted on Thursday.

The main topic of the talks is wages.

Narva Elektrijaamad manager Tonu Aas said that all matters are still undecided and the parties to negotiations will meet again on Wednesday.
