Lithuanian parliament passes 2013 budget

VILNIUS - Today the Seimas has passed the state budget for 2013, corrected by the new government.

In total, 103 MPs voted in favor of the draft budget, while 2 were against with 28 abstentions.

Compared to the previous draft budget, the budget revenue falls by 0.4 million litas (116,000 euros). In total, state budget revenue (excluding the EU funds and others - 7.546 billion litas) will account for18.2 billion litas, with the EU funds and others it will stand at 25.7 billion litas.

In 2013, state budget allocations will exceed revenue by 740 million litas, deficit will account for 0.6 percent of GDP (on basis of cash), while the projected public finance deficit next year should stand at 2.5 percent of GDP. The 2012 public finance deficit is projected not to exceed 3 percent of GDP.
