50% believe minimum monthly wage should be between 251 and 350 lats

RIGA - 50 percent of economically active Latvian residents believe that minimum monthly net wage should range from251 to 330lats (357 – 470 euros), according to a survey carried out by the market, social and media research company "TNS Latvia" and the LNT television channel.

27 percent of respondents pointed out that the minimum monthly net wage should be between 251 and 300lats, 23 percent - 301 to 350lats.

14 percent believe that the minimum monthly net wage should range from 201 to 250lats, 16 percent - from 351 to 400lats, another 16 percent - over 400lats.

Only 3 percent believe that the minimum monthly net wage should not exceed 200lats.

1 percent had no opinion.

The survey was carried out on November 13 - 15; altogether, 700 residents aged 18 to 74 were interviewed.
