Skype supports IT training

TALLINN - Skype Technologies has signed a three-year contract to sponsor the IT Academy, a state-financed institution to be launched in autumn this year, reports the Estonian national broadcasting corporation ERR. Skype signed the deal with the Information Technology Foundation; the company will support the Academy’s program with 100,000 euros per year and allow it to use its corporate brand in its marketing efforts.The program, initiated by the government in 2009, is intended to alleviate severe shortages in the nation’s skilled IT workforce, will also receive 1.5 milli...
