Kubilius rejects subsidies

VILNIUS - The Visaginas Nuclear Power Plant can operate profitably without any subsidies, and this is why Lithuania did not join the call of Poland, the Czech Republic, France and Great Britain in the European Commission, where the member states asked to assign nuclear energy to the category of clean energy sources which get subsidized, says Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius, reports ELTA.“Our estimates show that the Visaginas NPP would operate profitably without any additional subsidies.
