RIGA - The Saeima Legal Affairs Committee on March 27 supported changes to the referendum initiation procedure, stipulating that the second stage of a signature collecting campaign will no longer be funded by the state, said Saeima Legal Affairs Committee member Dzintars Rasnacs (VL-TB/LNNK), reports LETA.Five committee members voted for the motion, four against.The referendum initiation procedure currently has two stages.
