VILNIUS - By approving the American Williams International company's plans to invest in the Lithuanian oil sector, Parliament Chairman Vytautas Landsbergis said the move gives Lithuania both economic benefits and some security guarantees.Landsbergis, who called the Parliament's Sept. 29 decision to recognize Williams as a strategic investor a "historic success," also said the move will open the door for other heavyweight investors from the United States.By approving the deal, Parliament gave the ...
