KAZAN– Latvia has lost their opening game of the 2011/2012 KHL season, falling 5-2 to Ak Bars Kazan on Tuesday evening. Following the tragic events in Yaroslavl last week, the KHL season restarted on Monday night with Dinamo Riga travelling to Ak Bars for their opening game on Tuesday.
