Presidential elections will take place in Estonia on August 29 and will be determined by two thirds of the votes of members of the Estonian Parliament, and not by a popular vote of the people. The incumbent, President Toomas H. Ilves, will be re-elected as there are no candidates willing or able to oppose him.The current Estonian president has been doing the rounds of friendly political parties to secure this vote, in spite of his English being better than his Estonian.
