TALLINN - A trove of buried treasure containing gold and silver historical artifacts has been found in Järva County.

Local resident Aivar Piirsalu from the town of Öötla in Järva County made the find as he swept a nearby field with a metal detector.

The cache contained five silver beads and several gold-plated silver pendants featuring traditional designs dating from about 500 years ago.
