RIGA - There are more than 1,000 car rental firms in Latvia. These are mainly small companies, renting out the few cars they have for the needs of the local market. There are also representatives of international brands, such as Avis and Hertz, in Latvia. The business is now starting to grow after an extremely difficult year in 2009.
