In an interview with Latvian director Laila Pakalnina, Alex De Leon takes a new look at the film "The Shoe."A somewhat naive local review of "The Shoe" a few weeks back described the film as "only interesting at the beginning," then becoming "tedious, boring and annoying with its slow stylized camera shots." The writer went so far as to advise the director to "stick to short films" as this one is "way too long and monotonous." Of course, when it comes to cinema, one reviewer's tedium is another' ...
