TALLINN - Hundreds of thousands of ethnic Russians accross the Baltic States turned out last weekend to celebrate "Victory Day" - a day in honor of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in WWII.

The holiday, which is widely celebrated by ethnic Russians throughout the former Soviet Union, normally draws large crowds in the Baltic States, and this year was no exception.

This year's celebrations did see, however, allied troops for the first time parading alongside Russian in the Moscow celebrations.
