Estonian jailed for creating virus

TALLINN - An Estonian computer expert has been sentenced with 2.5 years in prison for writing and unleashing a computer virus.

Artur Boiko, 44, was convictedof creating the malware in late 2006 and to seek revenge against insurance firm IF following a dispute over a rejected car accident insurance claim.

The virus prompted denial of service attacks on the firms homepage and a related site.
