Dinamo seals first playoff victory

St.PETERSBURG - Dinamo Riga, Latvia's immensly popular KHL hockey team, has won its first playoff game against St. Petersburg SKA 2-0 (1-0, 0-0, 1-0).

SKA were heavy favorites in the game, but ultimately the team was unable to get any of its 27 shots past Dinamo goalie Edgars Masalskis.

Mikelis Redlihs scored the first goal shortly before the end of the first period, while Martin Kariya added an empty-netter at the end of the game.
