Port board chairman sacked

TALLINN - The Port of Tallinn leadership underwent another major change this week after Tarmo Ruben was sacked from his post as board chairman. Ruben had been appointed to the board four months ago in a bid by Transport and Communications Minister Toivo Jurgenson to remove port manager Enn Sarap. The sacking comes after it was revealed Ruben benefited from a 5 million kroon ($342,000) gift from ERA Bank, a financial institution now undergoing bankruptcy proceedings.
