Feb 09, 2010
TBT Staff

VILNIUS - Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius has announced that his health minister will be allowed to retain his position, following a sacking of the deputy minister on corruption charges.

Health minister Algis Caplikas has so far not been implicated in the bribery charges that forced a deputy minister to resign earlier this year.

"I haven’t received any written or verbal information from law enforcement institutions about any unclear actions of Caplikas,” Kubilius said.
