Lithuanian sympathies go out to Chechen cause

VILNIUS - A group of Lithuanian MPs organized a symposium on Chechnya in one of the halls of the Lithuanian Parliament May 7 and May 8. Four Lithuanian MPs and one each from Estonia, Latvia and Chechnya participated. An assistant of a Polish senator also took part. The symposium urged Russia to recognize the independence of its breakaway Caucases region republic, Chechnya.
