RIGA - The Latvian national ice hockey team has defeated Denmark in an exhibition game, one of the few chances the team will have to play together ahead of next year's winter Olympic Games.
Latvia beat the Scandinavian team two consecutive days in a row with scores of 5-3 and 1-0.
Denmark was ranked in 12th place at last year's world championships, one place below Latvia's result of 11th.
