RIGA - In modern language, Chinatown refers to an area populated by ethnic Chinese that emigrated from their homeland to other parts of the world. There are numerous Chinatowns all over the globe, and while some are focused on attracting tourists, others are fully functioning living and working communities. There is a Chinatown in New York, London, Glasgow, Tokyo, and as it will be shown further in this article, there is one now in Riga.
