VILNIUS - Lithuania has seen its first death from swine flu after a 14-year-old boy passed away on Nov. 18.

The boy passed away in Kaunas, Lithuania's second largest city. Deputy Health Minister Arturas Skikas said the boy died of bacterial complications with the disease.

It is the second death registered from the disease in the Baltic States so far. The first victim of the disease was a 50-year-old woman from Latvia, who died in Riga on Nov. 9.
