Estonian hackers face indictment

TALLINN - A number of Estonians that allegedly took part in a major hacking operation late last year.

The eight people that were indicted for the heist, which netted more that $9 million and has been described as the most complex hacking operation in history, include 5 people from Estonia.

They are accused of having hacking into a credit card and ATM system, and on one day withdrawn millions from a series of ATM machines.


They are being charged with identity theft, wire fraud and computer fraud, among other charges.
